Debevoise & Plimpton LLP
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has announced that Alan Davies will become a new partner resident in its London office, effective 1 July 2004. Davies specialises in acquisition financing, including high yield offerings, and also has wide experience of asset, project and other financing matters and restructurings. Since his arrival from Allen & Overy in 2001, he has played a key role in developing Debevoise's UK financing practice. His promotion builds on the recent appointment of Peter Hockless, a senior English banking lawyer who practiced for 24 years, also with Allen & Overy, where he was a partner from 1988 until 2003. It recognises Debevoise's UK finance practice activity whose headline deal list over the last year includes advising on a number of financings including the Brake Bros and eircom high yield offerings, the Autopista Central and Autopista de los Libertadores toll road financings and the Parmalat, Kvaerner and Drax restructurings.
