Alfatherm - update
Further details have come to light regarding the Alfatherm transaction, which was reported in the last edition of Southern Europe …unquote". Senior debt facilities to support the transaction were supplied by Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and ING. The deal was supported by a EUR 12m mezzanine facility supplied from Presidio I, which contributed EUR 3m, and Indigo Capital's European Mezzanine Fund IV, which invested EUR 9m. Richard Collins and Martin Hook led the deal on behalf of London-based Indigo. The deal represents the first investment by Presidio, the first local independent mezzanine fund in Italy, which was launched last year by Francesco Gallotti and Claudio Casneti. Grimaldi e Associati provided legal advice to the mezzanine suppliers.
