Royal Bank of Scotland
The Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed two new directors to its Madrid office. Beltrán Paredes and Rocio Cuenca Torres will form a new leveraged finance team, which will allow the bank to develop its presence in the Iberian peninsula. Paredes will be responsible for all of RBS’s acquisition and mezzanine finance activities in Spain and in Portugal and will report to the joint heads of leveraged finance, Eric Mallaroni and Euan Hamilton. Paredes joins from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he headed the acquisition finance team. Cuenca-Torres joined RBS London in 1989 and has been in leveraged finance for the last five years. In 1998, Cuencs-Torres moved to the Paris office, where he covered the French and Spanish markets.
