PM&Partners
Massimo Grasselli has been appointed as a new partner at the Italian private equity firm PM & Partners, where he will work alongside fellow partners and founding members Francesco Panfilo and Andrea Mugnai. He previously worked at Centrobanca, where he was deputy general manager with responsibility for private equity. He also held the post of managing director of Centrobanca Sviluppo & Impresa Sgr, the management company of Sviluppo Impresa, the closed-end fund sponsored by Centrobanca. Prior to this, Grasselli worked at Morningside Italia, an evergreen investment fund, where he launched and managed the firm's Milan offices. From 1998 to 2000, Grasselli worked for Palamon Capital Partners, where he actively participated in the raising of a E440m pan-European fund, as well as managing significant investments. Grasselli joins PM & Partners to strengthen the company's operational structure in order to complete investments for the Emerald Fund and also to launch a new fund during 2005. Besides the three partners, the operational team is composed of three investment managers and three analysts. The Emerald Fund closed in 2001 at around E215m.
