Cuatrecasas

Miguel Trías Sagnier, managing partner and director of the legal area at Landwell-PricewaterhouseCoopers Barcelona and professor of corporate law at ESADE, joined Cuatrecasas as a partner on 1 January. Trías Sagnier will strengthen Cuatrecasas's corporate practice, particularly in his specialty area of M&A, the securities market and corporate law.Trías Sagnier has advised on some of the leading mergers and acquisitions carried out in Catalonia and has been managing partner of Landwell-PricewaterhouseCoopers in Barcelona since 2000. He has extensive experience as a lecturer at Esade's Law School, where he held the position of Dean from 1997 - 2001.Trías Sagnier graduated from the University of Barcelona in 1980 and earned a doctorate cum laude with a thesis on the good governance of companies, in which he analysed the influence of institutional investors on the operation of the bodies in a joint stock company.
