Andalusian government allocates €6m to seed capital funding
The Instituto de Fomento de AndalucÃa is set to finance around 25 technology-orientated business projects based in the province of Andalusia. The organisation has created the Atlantis EBT programme which will have annual funds of €6m at its disposal, with each individual company being eligible for see capital financing of up to €300,000. The programme is aimed at university-based research and development groups, new technology companies and sector professionals. The objective of the project is to make Andalusia into an attractive region for multinational technology companies, as well as filling Spain’s current in terms of seed capital. In addition, the programme aims to address the lack of training and strategic vision sometimes found amongst the country’s entrepreneurs.
