CIBC World Markets

Didier Menth, Julia Klein and Joseph Chickey have joined the European leveraged finance teams of CIBC World Markets, the investment banking division of CIBC, the Canadian bank. Menth spent four years working for HVB in principle finance, whilst Klein was a member of the same firm’s leveraged finance team for three years; both join CIBC as analysts. Chickey joins as senior analyst and transferred from CIBC’s portfolio management group. The new recruits will report to Jonathan Rowland, and bring the firm’s European leveraged finance team to 20. CIBC is reported to be seeking to employ three or four new bankers at associate and director level within the next few months.
