Post-internet slowdown hits Inova Capital
Juan Abelló’s private equity firm Inova Capital has been hit by investment cutbacks in the wake of the internet boom. The firm, which specialises in telecommunications and new technology, has been forced to halve its working capital to €43.4m in order to stabilise its balance sheet. Inova Capital has registered a loss each year since it was founded in March 2000. Juan Abelló continues to control a 48% stake in tInova via his firm Torreal, with Ibersuizas holding 25%, GB Inversiones holding a 20% stake and Banco Pastor with a 7% holding.
