European Investment Bank

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has recently announced the appointment of Francis Carpenter as chief executive officer of the European Investment Fund (EIF). He originally joined the EIB in 1975 and was appointed secretary general of the organisation in 1996. He succeeds Walter Cernoia, who has moved to the San Paolo IMI Group.
