Ex-Fininvest MD to launch Clessidra fund
Claudio Sposito, the former managing director of Fininvest, is planning to set up a closed-end private equity fund called Clessidra. Although few details are currently available, he investors will include Unipol, who has committed €25m to the fund. Clessidra will have around 20 investors in total, including Mediobanca, and the Brescia-based investment company Hopa. A first closing is anticipated for the end of September. The fund will make its first investment in the autumn.
