VC firms in Aragón to be backed by new public body
The regional government of Aragón has set up a new public entity which will drive the development of venture capital firms based in the region. The objective of Savia Capital Inversión is to encourage competition and back innovation and growth in Aragonese companies, as well as modernising the management models of small- and medium-sized and family-run businesses. Savia Capital Inversión, which is wholly-owned by the Government of Aragón, has an initial capital of e25m, and will manage three newly-created venture capital firms: Savia Capital Innovación, Savia Capital Crecimiento and Savia Capital Atracción.
