E8bn offer for Amena rejected
Shareholders of Auna, the parent group of the mobile telecommunications operator Amena, have rejected a takeover offer for its subsidiary by CVC Capital Partners, Apax Partners and Blackstone Group. The E8bn offer was rejected as 'inadequate, unsolicited and insufficient'. France Telecom and Telecom Italia are also considered to be potential bidders for the asset. The firm's main shareholders are Endesa and Unión Fenosa, which had valued it at around E13bn.
