Palladio Finanziaria launches Rinas
Palladio Finanziaria, the merchant bank led by Giorgio Drago and Roberto Meneguzzo, has launched its first mezzanine fund. According to Italian press reports, Rinascimento Mezzanine Partners aims to raise E100m and is backed by a pool of institutional investors including Banca Lombarda, Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna, Veneto Banca and CariFirenze. Rinascimento will provide mezzanine financing to private equity funds investing in leveraged buyouts. Andrea Pescatori is the manager of the fund, which should be operating by the end of 2005.
