Primmera to support investment in small business
Emmergia, an organisation that supports and advises developing companies, has created Primmera, a fund specifically designed to support small and medium-sized companies. Primmera is currently backed by two Spanish family offices based in Madrid and Logroño and will make between six and eight initial investments. However, it aims to attract more funding in the future from other private investors interested in working in this sector.Primmera will finance the expansion of companies that require between €0.5m and €3m of investment. It will take minority stakes in small companies from any sector that have been in business for less than three years. It aims to make four investments a year and will is prepared to co-invest with other private equity firms and private investors.
