Barcelona-based life sciences firm JAUSAS opened an office in Madrid on 15 January 2004. The specialist multi-discliplinary practice launched its new branch, on Madrid's Paseo de la Castellana, with 20 members of staff. The move represents the first departure of the firm from its home city of Barcelona. JAUSAS is a leader in the Spanish national life sciences market, advising the domestic and international pharmaceutical industry. JAUSAS is the result of the integration of two law firms: Jausàs, Nadal & Vidal de Llobatera and Foro Legal. The firm is active in the areas of company law, civil law, tax, banking and financial law, as well as new safety topics arising from information technologies and pharmaceutical law.
