
IdeA Capital invests in Apollo Management
IdeA Capital has invested in Apollo Management, a US-based special situations fund and plans to invest in a similar California-based vehicle of around $25bn.
In 2007, IdeA told Southern Europe unquote" that it would approach US GPs, country funds in Southern Europe and pan-European firms that have already concluded their fundraising "as a measure to make the due diligence processes more constructive".
In the past few months, the Italian fund-of-funds led by Franco Mosca has committed to support a number of sizeable partnerships. It backed funds such as Apax Europe VII, Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking IV, Blackstone V and Baring Vostok IV, LBO France WK VII, as well as 21 Centrale Partners III and Investitori Associati's funds.
