Carlyle-backed Applus+ buys Velosi for €105m
Applus+, a portfolio company The Carlyle Group is poised to acquire testing, inspection and certification services provider Velosi for €105m.
Azul Holdings, a company of the Applus+ Group, will hold a 53% stake in the business once Velosi's independent directors have confirmed their decision to accept the offer.
The Carlyle Group, which acquired Barcelona-based Applus+ in late 2007, has injected fresh capital to support the acquisition.
