Fondo Italiano provides capital to Hat Holding
Fondo Italiano di Investimento has committed capital to Italian investment company Hat Holding, allowing the firm to shift its focus from club deals to investments from a closed-end fund.
Hat Holding was founded in 2007 to acquire minority stakes in SMEs in order to support growth and international expansion. The company was previously funded by a group of more than 20 Italian entrepreneurs and operated on a club deal basis. Capital provided by Fondo Italiano enables Hat Holding to invest from a closed-end fund.
Fondo Italiano has backed 10 investment vehicles since its foundation with a total of €220m.
