Italian association introduces graduates to the industry
Italian private equity and venture capital association AIFI is to hold a conference in October to introduce young people to the industry.
The association will sponsor five recent graduates to attend the open-to-all, one-day event. Graduates in economics, law or related fields from Italian universities with high levels of English will be eligible for sponsorship. Topics for discussion include the portfolio company selection process, industry regulation and shareholding options.
Speakers include Anna Gervasoni, general manager of AIFI, Gabriele Cappellini, CEO of state-backed Fondo Italiano di Investimento, Fabio Sattin from Private Equity Partners and the Why Not Italy initiative, as well as Nicola Volpi from Permira.
The event will target young people interested in private equity investments both in Italy and abroad, and those working in the financial sector, the industrial, service or commercial industries or public institutions looking to expand their knowledge of private equity.
