Consortium sells BuyVIP to Amazon.com
A consortium of private equity investors is to sell Spanish e-commerce community BuyVIP to Amazon.com for around €75m.
The exiting stakeholders include Cipio Partners, Kennet Partners, Debaeque, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, Molins Capital Inversion, Mountain Super Angel, European Founders Fund and Grupo Intercom.
BuyVIP, which has headquarters in Spain and Germany, reported sales of €70m in 2009.
