ICG Iberia hires mezzanine head

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) has appointed Daniel Aymerich as head of mezzanine in Iberia.
Aymerich boasts 10 years of experience at Apax Partners, which he left in 2009 when the pan-European fund relocated its main Spanish offices to Barcelona. This was followed by a brief spell in which he dedicated himself to personal projects, such as launching the Imm Sound audio technology studio and getting involved with his family's golfing business.
Previously, he also spent two years at the Boston Consulting Group in Madrid and has undertaken advisory roles for private equity firms, family-owned and start-up businesses. He has a degree and MBA from ESADE.
Aymerich, who has been working at the firm's Madrid office since January, fills a post that had been vacant since the departure of José María Vegas in autumn 2009. Jaime Corchón and Luigi Bartone, who heads up ICG's Italian office, are executives who have worked in the department over the past year.
