Atomico Ventures invests £550,000 in Siine
Atomico Ventures has provided Spanish software developer Siine with £550,000 of seed funding.
Barcelona-based Siine was founded in 2007. It is developing software that aims to reduce the number of keystrokes required to use touchscreen keyboards. Its product is currently undergoing alpha-stage testing.
Atomico - a venture firm established by two Skype founders - believes Siine's software will be valued by consumers, and will give a competitive advantage to mobile phone and tablet computer manufacturers that choose to install it.
Siine will use the fresh funds to strengthen its team, develop its product and grow new commercial relationships.
