Cofides supports expansion of SuiteBlanco in Portugal
Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo (Cofides) has granted Spanish clothing and accessories company SuiteBlanco with a €2.138m joint venture loan from the Fund for Investments Abroad (FIEX) vehicle.
Cofides, a state- and privately-owned company that backs projects in foreign countries where there is a Spanish interest, intends to help the business strengthen its position in the Portuguese market. The funding will improve, expand and equip eight new boutiques in major cities across Portugal.
SuiteBlanco is based in Madrid and focuses on the design, production, distribution and marketing of clothing and accessories for men and women. The firm has a presence in 15 countries, with more than 230 stores and more than 3,000 employees. The company, which was previously known as Blanco, has been present in Portugal since 2003.
