AC Desarollo takes majority stake in Vaughan Systems
AC Desarollo, the private equity investment arm of Ahorro CorporaciУГn, has acquired a controlling stake in Vaughan Systems, a Spanish provider of commercial English language training services.
The undisclosed investment, via the AC Capital Premier II fund, secured the backer a 55% stake in the business; Vaughan Systems' existing shareholders, including founder Richard Vaughan, retain the balance. No details of whether the transaction involved any element of leverage have been disclosed.
Vaughan Systems, founded in 1977, is the largest in-company English language training firm in Spain, with offices in Madrid, Santander, Vigo and Valladolid. The group uses more than 300 teachers providing English language tuition to more than 500 Spanish and international firms. As well as traditional teaching methods, such as in-company classes, residential courses and intensive courses, Vaughan Systems also uses broadcast media to conduct its training.
