Recycling and industrial waste disposal company Befesa, backed by Triton, is developing a €30m smelting plant in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
The new facility for manufacturing aluminium alloys will be built in the industrial area of Bernburg and is expected to create around 60 new jobs.
Spanish-headquartered Befesa specialises in industrial waste management, with plants based in Germany, Spain, the UK, France, Sweden, Turkey and South Korea, as well as Chile, Argentina and Peru. Its main focus is on the steel dust and salt slags recycling markets in Europe.
Triton acquired the company in January this year for €1.075bn from listed company Abengoa.
