Private equity eyes up Nuance
Rumours suggest a private equity firm will be the next owner of a majority stake in Italian travel retailer The Nuance Group.
Current investor Stefanel confirmed it is thinking about partially or fully exiting the company and is believed to have been in serious discussions with an unnamed European private equity group over the past few weeks.
It is not in talks with investment banks to arrange an initial public offering and says it would not consider selling all or part of its stake to a trade buyer.
Nuance is thought to have suffered in recent years due to continuous speculation with regards to Stefanel's plans for the business.
