According to reports, BS Private Equity could sell portfolio sportswear company Arena to German sector giant Adidas. BS Private Equity has retained investment bank Morgan Stanley to test the waters regarding a potential sale. The private equity house has been cited as stating that no formal sale process has been launched. Last year, Arena cleared a EUR82m turnover.
Similarly, market rumour suggests N+1 could be considering the sale of its car inspection services portfolio company ITV Atecsa for a purchase price of between EUR60-90m. Reports suggest that PricewaterhouseCoopers has been mandated to collect bids for the company. Atecsa is forecasting sales around EUR12.5m for 2008 with an EBITDA of EUR7m.
Earlier in October, Grupo Talde had also entered negotiations regarding the sale of industrial group Oscainox to a strategic player. Talde acquired a 95% stake in the custom-made and stainless-steel business in 2005.
