
Montezemolo launches EUR350m second fund
Montezemolo & Partners SGR has launched its second private equity fund, Charme II, with a target of EUR350m.
According to reports, the fund has already raised EUR320m of the total, with the current investor base including the royal family of Abu Dhabi, the royal family of Bahrain, the French Bouygues family, and institutional investors such as UniCredit, Intesa Sanpaolo, Unipol, Banco Santander and Royal Bank of Scotland.
This second vehicle is more than twice the size of its predecessor, which closed on EUR150m in 2003. Like the first fund, it will target mid-sized companies with an enterprise value of between EUR50-400m.
