Arta Capital gets go ahead
The CNMV has given Arta Capital the green light to commence operating. The firm will be supported by Financiera Alba and Mercapital. Their maiden fund is set at a target of EUR500m of which Alba expects to contribute 51%. Mercapital is the exclusive adviser to the fund.
Arta will take minority stakes - preferably more than 20% in the development phase - focusing on expansion deals for companies with an enterprise value of more than EUR100m.
The firm will take over the management of Deya Capital firm through which Corporacion Financiera Alba carries out expansion deals. Last summer Deya acquired 26% of photovoltaic cell manufacturer Isofoton.
