Miura appoints new president
Miura Private Equity has appointed Luis Seguí to replace Juan Rosell as president, who is standing down after a five-year term.
Seguí will retain his position as managing director at the firm. He is a co-founder of Miura, which was founded in 2007. Prior to this, Seguí was a principal at Nazca Private Equity in Madrid where he began working in 2001.
In 2000, he co-founded IP Powerhouse, a €135m fund backed by CapVest, JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in Barcelona and Intercontinental in Brussels and London.
Rosell was appointed president in February 2008 with the aim of boosting the identification of dealflow opportunities. His arrival preceded the final close of the GP's first fund on €100m in August.
Miura's recent deals include the sale of Noa Visual Group to Swiss investment firm Porterhouse Capital in 2013 and the management buyout of induction heating technology firm HG Induction Group in 2012. The asset completed the bolt-on of debt servicing company Unitas the following year.
