Riva y García backs steel manufacturer
Spanish private equity firm Riva y García has backed the creation of Madrid-based steel manufacturing business Bloqmarine International.
Riva y García Private Equity, the venture capital arm of Grupo Financiero Riva y García, will hold a 53% stake in the newco, while the remaining equity will be divided between steel company Ros Caseres (24%) and a management team led by Javier Salas (23%). Salas is the former president of Iberia Airlines in Spain.
The enterprise value of the transaction is in the region of €20m.
