Nauta in €1.5m round for Abiquo
Venture firm Nauta has led a €1.5m round for technology firm Abiquo, contributing €1m to the round and closing the first deal of its third fund Nauta III.
Caja Navarra has invested €441,000 via Corporación CAN, while Peter Malcom the new managing director has contributed a further €100,000.
The new investors have taken a significant minority in the business while the founding owners and 15 investors who backed the company originally retain a majority stake in the company.
Based in Barcelona, Abiquo was set up in 2006 as a developer of an open-source cloud-computing platform. The technology allows clients to create and manage complex IT architectures from one single unified management platform.
