
Greece and Malta blip on the radar
Carlyle acquired a 74% stake in Greek chemical distributor Neochimiki from the Athens Stock Exchange in a deal valued at EUR749m, and it announced plans to launch a mandatory tender to acquire the remaining stake.
Meanwhile, Bancroft has launched its third vehicle, CEE (page 6), dedicated to Central and Eastern Europe which will also invest in Greece; naming a new partner Agis Hiliarhopoulos in the Athens office.
In Malta, Denham Capital Partners committed $200m (EUR120m) to a strategic partnership with clean-tech player SunRay Renewable Energy.
