Bocconi receives EUR90k in Claudio Albonico's memory
A group of private equity players and industrials have contributed to a fund totalling EUR90,000 destined to sponsor outstanding students of Bocconi University. The fund was set up in memory of Claudio Albonico, the late manager of Mid Equity Partners, who passed away earlier this year.
The consortium that has supported the fund includes Albonico's former employers Arca Impresa Gestioni, fellow private equity firms Clessidra and Private Equity Partners, companies with which he had worked including wine producer Giordano and food producer Marr, as well as Bank of America, Telecom Italia and Vodafone Italia. The project will sponsor 50 student grants at the traditional Italian economics university, where Albonico himself completed his studies. Among the criteria used for selection, the students will have to demonstrate a "absolute excellent personal and academic curriculum" and outstanding results in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), with at least 650 points.
