
Miura Private Equity opens offices
The Comision Nacional del Mercado de valores (CNMV) has formally approved the creation of Miura Private Equity. The private equity house will invest in the mid-market segment and foresees carrying out investments between EUR10-50m. It will focus on Spanish regions with the highest density of SMEs.
Recent additions to the company include chairman Juan Rosell who will assist the team in the generation of investment opportunities.

Unipol Banca enters private equity
Unipol Banca has launched new private equity player Unipol Private Equity with the support of Unipol Merchant.
Unipol Private Equity will seek to raise a EUR150m fund targeting the acquisition of significant minority stakes in SMEs and co-operatives. However it is reported that given the size of some co-operatives, another fund set at around EUR400m could also be launched.
