SI Capital seeks green investors in the Middle East
SI Capital has become one of the first private equity funds to approach Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds for investment into the renewable energy sector, as it continues fundraising for its new vehicle, which is targeting a EUR70m close by the end of 2008. The Middle East offers not only ample investment opportunities - the green city of Masdar being planned is one of them - but also interest on behalf of investors wishing to diversify from investments in traditional energy sources. The fund is open to both Spanish and International investors.
