Ibersuizas to sue four directors
Ibersuizas has decided to take legal action against four of its directors for “failing to comply with their most basic duties”.
The private equity firm has accused Ramón Cerdeiras Checa, Fernando Chinchurreta Bollaín, Juan Luis Ramirez Belaustegui and Iñigo Sánchez-Asiaín Mardones of neglecting to act as responsible company directors and disregarding their contractual obligations to manage Ibersuizas' funds.
The four are no longer managing the Spanish investment company, while Cerdeiras recently stepped down as President of venture capital association ASCRI.
Ibersuizas also asked its lawyers to study the possibility that its executives are liable for prosecution in a criminal court on the grounds of their behaviour.
It stresses that the company's principles, aims and investment strategies remain unchanged.
