
Evolution Equity leads $5.5m series-A for DFLabs
US-based GP Evolution Equity Partners has led a $5.5m series-A round for Italian cybersecurity software developer DFLabs.
The fresh capital will allow the business to open new offices in the UK and the US, as well as expand its team and develop new products. As part of the deal, Evolution's partners Richard Seewald and Dennis Smith will join the company's management board.
The VC is particularly focused on the cybersecurity sector and has several software developers in its investment portfolio, including AVG Technologies, Cognitive Security and OpenDNS, among others.

Founded in 2003, DFLabs is headquartered in Milan. Its flagship product, IncMan, provides a cyber incidents management and response platform. It manages data, processes and software actions and produces actionable intelligence to help companies respond to cyber incidents.
