
Kennet Partners leads $12m series-B for ABA English
Growth equity investor Kennet Partners has led a $12m series-B round for Spanish online English language learning platform ABA English.
Existing shareholder Nauta Capital also participated in the series-B round.
The company aims to use the fresh capital to develop its teaching methodology and encourage engagement among its users. Moreover, the business intends to further expand its presence internationally, particularly in China and Turkey.
As part of the deal, Kennet managing director Hillel Zidel will join the company's management board.
Previous funding
In July 2014, the company raised a $3.4m series-A round from Spanish venture capital firm Nauta.

Established in 2013 and based in Barcelona, the company develops a context-related language learning platform for the English language. The firm has a presence in Spain, Brazil, France, Italy, Mexico and Russia, and claims to have 10 million users.
