Sabadell VC leads €1m round for Captio
A syndicate of Spanish venture capital firms led by Sabadell Venture Capital has raised €1m in a funding round for business expenses management platform Captio.
Sabadell VC, the venture arm of Spanish lender Banc Sabadell, contributed €500,000 to the funding round, while Venturecap, Bankinter, Telegraph Hill Capital and Kibo Ventures provided the remaining €500,000.
The company will use the capital injection to boost the development of its platform and expand internationally across the UK, France and Latin America.

Established in 2012 and headquartered in Barcelona, Captio develops a digital platform alongside a mobile app that enables the management of business travel expenses.
The company employs 50 staff and also has a presence in Madrid.
