
ETF and McRock in €8.3m round for Worldsensing
ETF Partners and McRock Capital have taken part in a €8.3m funding round for Worldsensing, an Internet-of-Things (IoT) data analytics company.
Trade investor Cisco also took part in the financing round, which will enable the company to invest in its smart cities and industrial-related products.
Worldsensing doubled its revenues in 2016 and is on course to do the same in 2017, according to a statement.
ETF, which focuses on technology related to sustainability, has made numerous investments in the smart cities and industrial IoT spaces. In 2016 it invested in utility industry IT integration company Greenbird, industrial inspection drones business Flyability and wireless street lighting monitoring company Telensa.

Headquartered in Barcelona and founded in 2008, Worldsensing monitors and analyses data related to engineering, construction, mining, infrastructure and city planning. The business has around 200 customers across 50 countries.
