
Apax-backed Marlink buys OmniAccess
Norway-based Marlink Group, backed by Apax Partners, has acquired a majority stake in OmniAccess, a provider of broadband and data services for the nautical community and the marine industry.
The deal comes 17 months after Apax acquired Marlink, then Airbus Group's commercial satellite communications business, in June 2016.
The existing management team of OmniAccess remains unchanged and retains a minority stake in the company.
Financial details of the OmniAccess deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2018, subject to approval.
