Apax-backed Marlink buys OmniAccess

The deal comes 17 months after Apax acquired Marlink, then Airbus Group's commercial satellite communications business, in June 2016.

The existing management team of OmniAccess remains unchanged and retains a minority stake in the company.

Financial details of the OmniAccess deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2018, subject to approval.

Founded in 2001 in Mallorca, OmniAccess provides broadband and data services for the nautical community and the marine industry. The firm employs a staff of 60.
