Nauta et al. in $5m series-A for Lodgify
Nauta Capital has backed Barcelona-based Lodgify, a vacation rental software startup, in a $5m series-A funding round.
Existing investor Howzat Partners and newcomer Intermedia Vermögensverwaltung also took part in the round. Stephan Marzen from Intermedia will join Lodgify's board, while Alex Vuilleumier will be appointed new COO.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to scale up its team, accelerate its product development and consolidate its global market position.
Unquote understands that Nauta Capital invested in Lodgify via its Nauta Tech Invest IV Fund, which held a final close on $170m in April 2017. The vehicle targets technology companies and deploys tickets of between €1-3m.
Previous funding
After receiving an initial investment of around €300,000 from Seedcamp in 2014, Lodgify raised €600,000 from Howzat and Venrex Investment in May 2015. Nauta led a €1.4m round for the startup in April 2016 investing €1.1m via its Tech Invest IV Fund, while Howzat, Venrex and high-net-worth individuals provided the remaining €300,000. As part of the deal, Nauta's general partner Jordi Vinas joined Lodgify's board.
