
Talde backs Engineered Fire Piping
Bilbao-based GP Talde Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in Engineered Fire Piping, a Spanish manufacturer of pipes for sprinkler systems.
The GP intends to bolster the company's growth, consolidate its market position in Spain and boost its international expansion.
Talde typically invests tickets in the €5-15m range in companies with enterprise values of €15-70m. The GP is currently managing growth capital fund Talde Capital Crecimiento. Its portfolio includes medical equipment producer Deltalab, bought in August 2016; cosmetic and nutrition supplements specialist Tegor, acquired in September 2018; sound insulation expert Acoustic & Insulation Techniques, also purchased in September 2018; and electronic components manufacturer P4Q, bought in January 2019.
Talde recently sold its stake in Rotecna, a Spanish manufacturer of machinery for the pig farming industry, to Solix-backed Skiold Group.
