
Lumos Capital leads €16.5m series-B round for Ironhack
Madrid-based education service Ironhack has raised €16.5m in a series-B funding round led by Lumos Capital Fund.
Other investors included Endeavor Catalyst and existing investors Brighteye and Creas.
The company, which has so far raised $27m, will use the latest funding to expand its online and corporate training programmes, as well as to hire more staff.
Previous funding
In 2017, Ironhack raised $3m in seed funding from All Iron Ventures and JME Ventures. Two years later, it raised $4m in series-A funding from All Iron Ventures, JME Ventures and Brighteye.
Company
Founded in 2013 and based in Madrid, Ironhack runs a technology school that offers courses in web development, UX/UI design, data analytics and cybersecurity.
It is present in eight countries and has campuses in nine locations: Madrid, Barcelona, Miami, Paris, Mexico City, Berlin, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo and Lisbon. The company has around 400 employees, according to its LinkedIn page.
