Vertis in €1.2m round for Chef Dovunque
Vertis has led a €1.2m round for Chef Dovunque, an Italian firm that selects and distributes organic ingredients for home-cooking.
Vertis committed €800,000 to the firm, with angel investors providing the balance.
Vertis invested via Vertis Venture, a €25m vehicle designed to support Italian SMEs with seed financing.
The transaction is Vertis's first deal in the food sector. The company currently operates in Italy but is expected to expand its offering to include Europe, the US, Japan, China and Australia following the deal.

Customers of Chef Dovunque receive recyclable packages containing organic ingredients necessary to follow traditional Italian recipes. Cooking kits are designed to cater for 2-3 portions of each meal. Chef Dovunque is based in Milan.
