Principia backs Simplicissimus with €2m
Italian venture investor Principia has injected €2m into Simplicissimus Book Farm, a digital solutions provider for the publishing sector.
The investment is part of a €2.5m funding round, which saw the remaining capital committed by the firm's founders. The VC invested through the Principia II fund, which closed on €61.3m in 2009.
The fresh funding will support the development of the firm's software, the opening of a research and development base in Catania, and the company's expansion into new international markets including Turkey, Poland and Mexico.
