Axon joins $1m round for Hot Hotels
Spanish venture investor Axon Partners has taken part in a $1m funding round for mobile hotel booking company Hot Hotels.
Various business angels also participated in the round, alongside accelerators Bolt and Intelectium and government-backed innovation bank Enisa.
The deal is the first completed via the ICT II fund, which is focused on early-stage investments in the Spanish market. The vehicle launched in March and has a special focus on Andalucía.
Hot Hotels will use the fresh funding to expand across Latin America and increase its customer base in Europe.

Founded in 2012 with offices in Madrid and Marbella, Hot Hotels offers mobile-only, same-day hotel booking. Hotels can be booked in 43 countries and 257 cities across Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and Israel.

Carlos Rodriguez-Maribona led the deal for Axon.
