
Principia backs Weekend-a-gogo
Italian VC player Principia has injected €450,000 into Neapolitan social tourism platform Weekend-a-gogo.
The investor committed capital from Pincipia I. The company intends to direct the funding towards the launch of its social platform, expected in September, and the development of a Weekend-a-gogo community.
The firm intends to drum up the support of 600,000 users in the next five years, with the aim of generating a turnover of €150m.

Based in Milan, Weekend-a-gogo is an online tourism platform that connects holiday providers with consumers. The site allows users to select and compare short breaks and long weekends.
The firm's social platform, which is yet to launch, will allow users to read reviews of various weekend activities and offer advice to fellow travelers. Holidaymakers will also be able to organise breaks with other users that share the same interests.
