Inveready injects €1m into Clarive
Spanish VC Inveready has made a €1m commitment to software developer Clarive Software.
The VC drew down capital from Inveready Fund II, a technology-focused vehicle with a target of €15-20m. The fund launched in October 2013.
Clarive will use the fresh funding to pursue international expansion, and boost its sales and marketing strategy worldwide.
Inveready's recent investments include Conzoom, a data and insight business for marketeers, and Ojer Pharma, a dermatology pharmaceuticals firm held in the VC's latest biotech fund.
Company
Founded four years ago as a spinout of tech company Vass (which remains a shareholder in the company), Clarive has developed a system that automates and manages the development of business software. Clients include Telefonica, Bankia and Banco Sabadell.
People
Roger Piqué is a founding partner of Inveready and worked on the deal.
